6 Halloween-Themed Events for Your October North Carolina Travel

Winston-Salem Halloween-Themed Events

Businesses and organizations all over Winston-Salem offer fun activities for kids, adults, and families throughout October. We share seven here:

1. Scary Movie Night

On October 2nd, The Board Babe, Charcuterie Cafe & Lounge hosts this event on their back patio. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and warm yourself at the fire pit if it’s chilly. Enjoy smores, kettle corn, treats, and charcuterie, of course. Purchase wine or beer and be ready for the movie Hocus Pocus, which begins at 7:30 pm. They encourage RSVPs to ensure a spot.

2. Spookley the Square Pumpkin

If you love theater and family activities, this event is for you. The Willingham Performing Arts Academy presents this theater production celebrating that what makes you different also makes you unique. Performances happen October 21-23 at the Willingham Theater.

3. Halloween Market

Incendiary Brewing hosts its second annual Halloween Market from 12 pm-5 pm on October 31st. Enjoy local arts and craft vendors, a costume contest for kiddos and pups, and a great selection of craft beer. Make sure you leave space to take all the goodies in your rental car

Greensboro Halloween-Themed Events

Greensboro is about 30 miles from Winston-Salem and hosts some significant events during October, too.

1. Boo Bash

Experience a scientifically sound Halloween experience at the Natural Science Center on October 12th. Encourage the kids to dress up in their costumes and enjoy games, face painting, and weird science. The whole family can have fun at this free event.

2. Halloween Tree

The Mad Splatter invites you to experience the creative side of the season with this Halloween-themed ceramic event. Bring your friends, kids, or yourself while you fire, glaze, and paint a Halloween tree. Choose from three sizes of trees at different price points and take your tree home at the end.

3. Ghoeween

For adult fun, check out this all-day and all-night festival held at Silo Entertainment Event Center. DJ Cleve and DJ Drizzy host the event, which is sure to be a ghoul time. Doors open at 3 pm, and admission is free until 5 pm. Find out more on Event Brite.
